Roll Out!

We've really been working with Jackson to get him to be more reverent at church. He usually likes to play Transformers so you'll frequently hear him saying, "auto bots......ROLL OUT!" About halfway through sacrament meeting I had to remind him that he should be thinking about Jesus. A couple minutes later I hear him say, "Jesus Christ.......ROLL OUT!"

Pictures

Yesterday was bright and sunny so the boys and I took advantage of the sun and went down to the ocean. Unfortunately it was a bit more chilly than we expected, but we got some cute pictures out of it anyway.

Nate

I just wanted to take a minute and brag about my husband. He took another test last week and got the scores today and as I expected, he passed. (He thought he failed) I think it's pretty amazing what the students here go through. Learning Tagalog is Nate's full-time job. He's given 47 weeks to not just become a fluent speaker, but he also has to be able to read, write, and have good knowledge of the culture. I think it's pretty impressive and I'm proud of him for passing yet another test!!

I'm not old.

Jackson was watching me get ready for church on Sunday and directed his attention towards my yucky feet. He says, "Mom, why are your feet cracked?" I say, "Because I'm getting old." He says, "Old? You're not old. You're beautiful!"

Utah!!!

My dearest Momsie is turning 60! My Dad has graciously decided to fly me and the boys out to Utah for two weeks. Unfortunately Nate will be staying here and going to school. And sadly, he'll be watching the Super Bowl with out me.....

If I don't post anything in the next two weeks it's because I'll be too busy actin' a foo' with these guys.....

He knows what's up

Payton likes to sing. Yesterday we were in the car and he was singing one of his cute little songs. I couldn't tell if he was repeating "Mommy" over and over again or if he was saying "money." I turned to him and said, "Are you saying Mommy?" He literally yelled out, "NO!" Then I said, "Are you saying Money?" He gets a big smile on his face, says "YES" and continues singing, "Money, money, money, money.."

Great new video

Catholicvote.com has once again put out a great video. I think they did a great job showing their Pro-Life stance without being insulting to anyone who is Pro-Choice. I thought it was inspiring and uplifting.

The Sickness...

I've had no exciting posts lately because my camera is broken so I've had no way of capturing the wonderful things my chillens' do on a daily basis. And, we've been sick for weeks so that has been occupying my time.

I have an upper respiratory infection. Payton was in the hospital yesterday because he was dehydrated, has an ear infection, gastroenteritis, and a small case of pneumonia. If you're curious how they do the x-ray on a small child to check the lungs for pneumonia.....I found an unfortunate picture of some other persons baby for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.

"I have to get this"

Jackson went with me to the bank today. As we were driving I looked at him in the rear-view mirror and saw him peacefully looking out the window, and picking his nose. I said, "Jackson, stop picking your nose!" In a very relaxed tone he said, "Yeah, in a minute Mom. I have to get this."
