Sickness

Payton and I are suffering from Bronchitis/Walking Pneumonia. So needless to say things haven't been too fun around here.

I'm so lucky to have Jackson around while Nate is gone. He is amazingly helpful. For a 5 year old kid he can do a lot of things to make my life easier while I'm sick. If he could cook dinner and do the dishes I'd be in heaven.

I can't express how much I'm missing Monterey right now.

I think winter is getting to me. We were spoiled with our 18 months living on the California coast. Every morning I could open the blinds and look out at the ocean. Our favorite family ritual was our evening drive to see the sunset over the ocean.

I'm still not used to waking up to ugly dirty snow on the ground and icy roads.

I long for you Monterey.

I failed to mention that on December 26th Nate and I were officially married for 4 years.

The Curious Sleeping Habits Of Mr. P

Payton's sleeping habits boggle my mind. He generally won't nap in his bed, but he never fails to fall asleep in the shopping cart at Target. Every once in a while if he's really really worn out he'll fall asleep in the middle of playing.
