HELP ME!!!

We are staying in California for the Holidays, which means I will be cooking all the big meals by myself. I've got almost everything picked out for Thanksgiving but I just can't decide on a really great side dish to go with the Mashed Potatoes and the Turkey. Give me some advice on your favorite Thanksgiving side dishes so I can get some ideas!!!!

Well, it's not Thanksgiving in my house without Green bean casserole... Super delicious and perfect with Turkey, stuffing and Mashed potatoes... you can find the recipe on any 'Frenches:fried onion' can at the store... (usually by the canned green beans!)

I like to make fresh cranberry relish, it's different than the jelly you buy but it's delicious!

1 12 oz. bag fresh cranberries
1 large orange
1 cup sugar

Cut the orange in half and keep half of the orange peel on and peel the other half.

Make sure to remove the seeds then throw the whole orange into the food processor with the cranberries and sugar until chopped small but not a puree. Taste for sweetness and if desired add additional sugar.

If you're using a blender you'll want to divide it up and do like 1/3 at a time.

Also, if you prepare this a couple of days before hand then the flavors can mingle and it's even better!

My sister does green beans with craisins and really thin orange slices...it's pretty darn good.
